taken the wind out of your sails
the voice from your soul
the grace in your smile

the trail of an everyday love
is long and hard

that had been fluttering butterflies

after a long days absence

taking refuge in the dark

Yes it is dark
and yes it has been long
too long that I waited for you,
in your presence

now your breathing and my tears
try to bridge the gap
that has come to be
between our minds, hearts and state of beings.

This immense void
gnawing and growing each second
refuses to be encapsulated
through words;

this void that exists
as a reminder of the essence of life
that only our attentive loving can fill
and not our words-spoken or broken.

This vulnerability that seeks
protection through your confidence
is at risk of never daring
to reach, again-

I waited too long
for you to reach out
to be found sunk
when you finally did.

This heavy heart
threatens
to drag me still, to the bottom
of yet another long night

the warm sea water on which we floated
has now broken into our shell
our salty wounds stand naked, burning
beneath our drenched selves.

I have no count
of how long we’ve been gone.
It just seems too long;
for no matter where I go, no matter what I do
I carry my wounded soul
yearning an emotional bond, to become whole.

The human trace makes itself
visible even through the dense morning mist
or the fast falling dusk.
The vague trails and huts in the fields,
the shanty dwellings along the tracks,
the bridges to nowhere,
the crowded naked power lines,
the colourful stench from accumulated rubbish…

In slow motion I watch
a contemplative cow sitting alongside
a pan-munching wildly spitting crouching coolie
on a deserted station where the superfast
doesnt hault; I watch
similar scenes interspersed with
the endless glorious mustard fields
dancing to the afternoon sun

I observe the mystery of the world
within its seemingly mundane routine
And I become aware
of a greater presence
than all humanity.

Nature with its sun, seasons and shade
passes through it magically
in almost the same way everywhere

Unburden your heart
let the earthly wind
blow through your soul
as you are reborn tonight.

Let this ethereal dawn
carry your first cry of joy
into the far reaches of your being;
let a new morning
wash over you
and reveal your true light.

We dance together naked in euphoric ecstacy
Breathing each other in absorbing the delicacies found within
Our tandem spirits entwine losing ourselves in rhythm and rhyme
Searching deeply, uniquely devouring the other

We kiss unabashedly, unashamedly with utter abandon
Time stands still until at last our universe is reborn
Tender lips pursed in the final throws of ardor
Sealing the last vestiges of a love fulfilled
